Seed Catalog Description: From High Desert Seeds in Paonia, Co - One of three main basils elemental to Thai cooking, this lemon-scented basil is most commonly used in southern Asian and north eastern African cusine. It is also known as Laos Basil and hoary basil. It has small pinate leaves and hairs along its stems. It is primarily used in curries, soups, and stir fries, added in at the end of cooking to preserve its delicate lemon flavor and aroma. Makes a great pairing with sea food. Our friends at the Wok of Joy, gifted us these seeds and shared their struggles to find authentic Thai varieties to use in the US. We are so gratefull for the introduction to this treasured variety.
